Strawberry Jam

先週の土曜、いちごジャムを作りました。
I made strawberry jam last Saturday.

産直で小粒の苺を１キロ手に入れる。
I bought 1 kg of small berries from farmers market.

同じく産直で手に入れた、甜菜100%のグラニュー糖を使って。

スズラン印の袋もかわいい♡

I bought granulated beet sugar made from 100% FM, as well. The lily bell printed on the bag is cute.

砂糖とシナモンを合わせて数時間置き、苺の水分を引き出してから煮はじめる。

I put the berries, sugar and cinnamon roll in the pan, left them for a few hours to extract water from the berries, and then I put the pan on the stove.

ねっちりするくらい煮詰めた、クラシックなジャムが私の好み。

I love a traditional style jam that is cooked for a long time to be almost sticky.

パンにたっぷり塗って、朝ごはんにね。
Slather the jam on the bread for my special breakfast.

The English Lesson

昨日は朝から娘を連れて実家へ。

Yesterday, I went to my mother's house with my little baby.

実家は山の中にあるのです…

Into the woods....

帰省の目的は、母のやっている英会話教室。
I visited her to attend the English lesson she gives for the students there.

今回、素敵なおばさまたちのクラスに入れてもらうことになった。

クラスの名は「ブルーミング・シスターズ」笑
とても楽しいクラス！
This time, I was allowed in the class of two middle-aged wiman, who called "Blooming Sisters" !!

Charming name, isn't it?

I had much fun, talking with them.

そして、、、
実家の鶏小屋では、雛が二羽孵化していた！
And then, In the chicken coop in her yard, I found...
Two chickens just hatched!!

かわいいーーー！！

ちかごろのいろいろ

庭の池の金魚が産卵をした。

株分けした睡蓮はみるみるうちに葉を茂らせる。

My goldfish in the garden pond spawned.

I separeted the roots of the water lilies to multiply and then the lilies grew day by day.

近ごろの朝食。

いつも夫を送り出してから一人で食べている。

子供の世話で自分のことがあとまわしになり、なんでも適当に済ませがちなので朝食だけはきちんと作って椅子に座って食べようと思っている。

I recently have my breakfast alone after my hubby leaves for work.

I've been busy taking care of my baby and I often put my work aside, so I dedicated to cook my breakfast with much care. 

朝食の準備を始めてから食べ始めるまでに1時間かかることもあるけれども、それでもこの朝の時間は守りたい。

私は1日の中で朝がいちばんすき、身体も元気だし、なんでもできる気がする。

実際できるのは、やりたいことの半分くらいだけれど…

あと、産後どうしても我慢できないおやつは市販品から手作りに切り替えた。

砂糖を使わないスコーン、全粒粉の生地でドライフルーツやナッツ入り。

今日は散歩がてら近所の郵便局まで用足しに。

抱っこひもの中で娘はスヤスヤでした。

帰ると、庭のイチゴがやっとひとつ色んでいるのを発見！

甘かった♡

午後から車を走らせて近くの雑貨屋さんへ行き、ティーカップ＆ソーサーを入れる。
